Change the mindset, change life

What can we do to change the mindset that changes life. Basically, it is like this: We deal with things and not with others. The things we deal with a lot are part of our daily life.

So, if a person wants to be free from an addiction or weakness, he has to replace the previous thoughts with others. Suppose, someone is a television addict, but should actually be doing sports regularly.

The way is very simple: the thoughts have to be changed so that the person starts thinking more about sport, less about television.

As information carriers, these thoughts pass through the nerve tracts from sender to recipient. One nerve tract now transports other information from sender to recipient and perhaps these new information carriers also trigger other stimuli at certain points through which they pass.

It means: It may be that these new thoughts initially cause a little discomfort when people think about sporting activities that they have not previously done. It may be that these new thoughts trigger anticipation, because this is now a new area and this area has no connection to experience.

We put into consideration that we do not want any extreme sports, that can harm life. We talk about sports, which means: physical movement in order to be in good health. Extreme sports is somehow a way to use adrenalin as a drug, so people in extreme sports become somehow addicted to their sports. They become dependant from it, because they need adrenaline in order to feel better and later, they are unable to lead a normal life without extreme sports. They wish they could always continue this sports to get the feeling of adrenalin. But letˋs go back to the new area of "normal life and normal thinking and normal change":

I think it is important to combine these new thoughts / this new life area with good associations and to look forward to it. Now we have broken new ground and are looking forward to the sport. In the next few weeks we will repeat these thoughts and then it will happen. The subconscious helps to get the necessary utensils, sports shoes, sports clothing, what is needed.

So it seems like we have to decide on something concrete: one wants to go swimming, the other to the gym, the other cycling, one just wants to go fast and the other run.

We have thus found out that we have to substantiate the wish in our thoughts. We can apply this knowledge to any topic.

1. New thoughts / thinking about something else

2. Consolidate / deal with these thoughts

3. Create good associations with the new thoughts as anticipation

4. The thoughts become reality, the necessary information and materials are procured so that the topic is implemented.

BY DOING THIS YOU CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE YOUR OWN LIFE NOW. IF ON MONDAYS, YOU SEE IT LIKE MONDAY AND FRIDAY LIKE FRIDAY, ASSOCIATE MONDAY WITH BETTER EXPECTATION. REPEAT THIS, BECAUSE IT MAY WELL BE, THAT THE OLD THINKING IS STILL THERE.

I give an example: I rarely ate at lunchtime. So it happened that I practically never ate lunch and  a couple of weeks ago, I wondered why. It was an earlier "thought mode".

If we relate what we found out in the text above; if we relate this to the Gospel, we can also see that people generally have a rather negative attitude towards God. This is because man is a sinner and prefers to live autonomously and independently and in freedom to do, whatever is wanted and because he has practically never dealt with the true God of the Bible in life.

Now we proceed according to this principle as discussed above and deal with the topic of the Bible. The Bible reveals "struggle" (meaning: wrestle) about it. That is, what I am doing. I struggle /wrestle with texts almost every day and this is good seed, which will bring fruits later on. I invest in my life and future and also I give to others. There will always be fruit, that I will not see, but I know, that it will bring its fruit.

Luke 13
... 23 And one said to him, Lord, do you think that few are saved? And he said to them: 24 Struggle to enter through the narrow gate; for many, I tell you, will seek to get in and will not be able to do so.
Luther Bible 1912

The words at the end: "won't be able to do it" refers to the slavery of religions. For the world religions, see also Galatians 4: 19-31.

Jesus is the door to the Kingdom of Heaven.

There is no other gate. There is no other way.

23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Luke 13:23-35 New International Version (NIV)
